Jako taka, wraz z innymi dyscyplinami, od 2019 funkcjonuje na podstawie nowych regulacji prawnych. Aspekt historyczny uzupe\u0142nia ocena warunk\u00f3w, jakie wprowadzone zosta\u0142y w 2019 roku. Zasadnicza cz\u0119\u015b\u0107 opracowania obejmuje krytyczn\u0105 ocen\u0119 stanu tej dyscypliny naukowej, ze szczeg\u00f3lnym uwzgl\u0119dnieniem przyczyn, zar\u00f3wno tkwi\u0105cych w geografii jak i w prawnych warunkach jej funkcjonowania. Do tych pierwszych zalicza si\u0119 brak dyskusji naukowej, autentycznej krytyki, upadek szk\u00f3\u0142 naukowych, wsp\u00f3\u0142pracy mi\u0119dzypokoleniowej oraz niedostatek wiedzy teoretyczno-metodologicznej m\u0142odego pokolenia geograf\u00f3w, a do tych drugich \u2013 pogo\u0144 za punktami, przeci\u0105\u017cenie dydaktyk\u0105 oraz materialne warunki funkcjonowania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>S\u0142owa kluczowe:<\/strong> prawne warunki funkcjonowania nauki, dyscyplina geografia spo\u0142eczno-ekonomiczna i gospodarka przestrzenna, stan dyscypliny naukowej, krytyczna ocena stanu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong> The article is a set of reflections on the state of modern Polish socio-economic geography and spatial management, which now is a new, autonomous scientific discipline. As such together with other disciplines, since 2019 it has been operating on the new legal regulations. The historical aspect is supplemented by an assessment of the conditions under which new regulation were introduced in 2019. The main part of the paper includes a critical assessment of the state of this scientific discipline, with particular emphasis on the causes, both inherent in geography and in the external, legal conditions of its activity. The first include the lack of scientific discussion, authentic criticism, the collapse of scientific schools also intergenerational cooperation and the lack of theoretical and methodological knowledge of the young generation of geographers, and the second \u2013 the<br \/> chase after high-impact publications (high metrics), didactic overload and material conditions of functioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key words:<\/strong> legal conditions for the functioning of science, the discipline of socio-economic geography and spatial management, the state of the scientific discipline, critical assessment of the state<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zalecany spos\u00f3b cytowania \/ Cite as: <\/strong>Parysek J., 2020, Polska geografia spo\u0142eczno-ekonomiczna (i gospodarka przestrzenna) w okresie prze\u0142omu.
